UMD is beginning to inspire other campuses in their sustainability efforts. For several years, UMD has been working with the Sustainability Office and Dining Services to improve our environmental impact.

Duluth residents help Harvey victims
Hurricane Harvey is the first category 4 hurricane to make landfall in Texas since 1961, displacing countless residents and pets in the affected regions of Texas. In Duluth, resident Mike Letica has been working his hardest to help those impacted by the hurricane.
Arrests, disturbance calls made during UMD move-in day
The Duluth Police Department started receiving disturbance calls as early as 8 a.m. on Aug. 22, on a move-in day the police called worse than previous years.
