Louise Taylor’s American Experience

By: AISLING DOHENY, Lake Voice An England export, Louise Taylor, talks about her experience as a student of British heritage living in an American world.

Louise Taylor, originally a student at the University of Birmingham, came to Duluth in August of 2015. From trying new food to watching sports and hearing new words, she recalls several of the moments when she truly realized how different the United States is from England.

This video captures a small portion of an incredibly huge story; 13 weeks of experiences can’t be captured in one five minute video, but this is our best try.

So far, Taylor has had three months of exposure to new food, new vernacular and new culture here at UMD. Here is her story.
