Who am I?
I am Jill Beuning! I am working to complete a degree in Communication with a double minor in Journalism and Political Science at the University of Minnesota Duluth. I was born and raised in Minnesota, and I am proud to live in a place where we are known for being nice. I consider myself a very talkative person and really love to get to know other people. I spend most of my time reading or watching movies, but I have a real passion for traveling and seeing other places.

What Interests Me:
I love stories. Telling them; reading them; watching them. Stories are the fabric of our society, and I really enjoy finding the story behind every assignment. I also love editing. I do a lot of reading, so looking over what I write to be sure everything in place usually comes pretty easily to me and is part of what drew me to Journalism.
Why Duluth?
It’s beautiful! And it offered me the opportunity to go to a school that was part of the University of Minnesota system without having to go to an intimidating big city or a town too small to offer any entertainment. I chose Duluth because the city inspires me. It is the perfect size, and it offers a great music and local art scene. The people are great and the views are breathtaking. What’s not to love?
