Meet the staff: Adam Quandt

Photo of Adam Quandt Who am I?

My name is Adam Quandt, a journalism student at UMD. I am from Eau Claire, Wisconsin. That’s right, I’m a "sconnie" and I’ve heard all the jokes, so fire away. Nine times out of ten, you can find me at one of the local music venues in duluth checking out the local talent.

Lake Voice position?

I'm here to be the Editor-in-Chief. I'll be captaining this great Lake Voice ship (Great Lakes pun fully intended) to ensure we bring you all the community news and stories you want to know.

What interests me?

Anything and just about everything music immediately sparks my interest. I also have a passion for traveling and seeing new things. Even if it’s only traveling to somewhere new in downtown Duluth. I want to share my life and experiences in music and travel through my love of writing.

Why Duluth?

Well, Duluth wasn’t really my original plan. I was originally planning to head to the Twin Cities and be a gopher, but when that didn’t go according to plan UMD was the next choice. I told myself I would do one year in Duluth and then transfer. That didn’t happen either. Like many others here, I fell in love with Duluth; the city, the university, the everything.
