Thursday 10/10

Lincoln Park Farmers Market. Harrison Community Center houses this weekly farmers market at 3002 West 3rd St. from 3–6 p.m.

Haunted Ship. The William A. Irvin Museum transforms into the Blackthorn Asylum for a night of spooks and shrieks on Lake Superior. Board this year’s vessel of terror for $8–10. Receive $1 off admission if you bring a nonperishable food item for the Helping the Cause fundraiser.

 

Friday 10/11

“Nosferatu.” This first installation of the Monster Trifecta focuses on vampires. The College of Liberal Arts and UMD School of Fine Arts present this 1922 silent horror film at the Masonic Temple, at 2118 W 1st St. The movie starts at 7:00 p.m. and will feature live organ music. After the show, UMD music professor Justin Rubin will speak about the movie score.

 

Saturday 10/12

Nice Girls of the North Saturday Sale. Find handcrafted clothing, pottery, bags, photography, stained glass, baby items, jewelry and more. Enjoy free cookies and coffee. This crafty gathering is held at Lester Park Community Center every second Saturday of the month.

The Price is Right Live! Jerry Springer hosts this night of one of television’s longest-running game shows at the DECC. Contestants will be called down to play games on the interactive stage. Sunday 10/13

Buckthorn Brigade at Chester Bowl. Dig in and get your hands dirty as you rid the parks of the invasive buckthorn shrub. Meet at the Chester Park playground and hike to cleaning locations. Monday 10/14

Mondays with the Mayor. Mayor Ness keeps his door open for any concerned citizen. He’s all ears from noon to 1 p.m.

Miniature Paint Night. Grab your latest miniature project and head to Dungeon’s End at 325 N. Central Ave for a night of painting and good conversation starting at 6 p.m. Bring your own equipment.

Flu Clinic. Bring your student ID to Kirby Ballroom from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for a free flu shot.

Female O. Sex educators Maggie Keenan-Bolger and Marshall Miller present a humorous and educational night on the female orgasm. All are welcome to this event that hones in on sexual health and women’s empowerment. The fun starts at 7:00 p.m. in the Kirby Ballroom.
