My Beat: I like to write about things that I find interesting, such as history, things that make me laugh, and food.
My Job: I will be working with the Community Engagement team, which I am very excited about. A lot of that will entail finding creative ways to generate interest in Lake Voice, but I am also excited to do write and copy edit.
My Story: I am studying professional writing at the University of Minnesota Duluth, minoring in history. With my degree, I hope to do public relations or grant writing, or maybe even a little of both. My dream job is to own Target, but I think I’d settle for working in their corporate offices. I don’t have a lot of writing experience yet, but I am very excited to be learning with Lake Voice. When I am not at school, I work at McDonald’s as a shift manager in training, and in the ticket office at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. At UMD, I am an active member of Beta Lambda Psi and I currently hold the Alumni Relations chair. I am also a member of the UMD Gold Club.
When I’m not working or studying, I like to read and watch a lot of Netflix. I also frequently make trips to Target. My worst habit is burning everything I’ve ever try to cook, ever, and my favorite food is anything I can get delivered. I like to listen to country music, but One Direction has somehow made their way on to my iTunes. My hobbies include coloring and not going outside. Here's my favorite blog.
