With fall athletics in full swing, the UMD Bulldog teams will do a bit of traveling this weekend around the state of Minnesota. Here’s a day-by-day look at sports for this weekend, Sept. 16-18, 2016:
Friday, Sept. 16:
The UMD women’s soccer team heads to the Twin Cities to take on Concordia University- St. Paul. Kick-off starts at 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 17th:
Both UMD men’s and women’s cross-country teams head to Northfield, MN to the St. Olaf Invitational. Women’s racing starts at 10 a.m. and Men’s events start at 11 a.m. Both teams are coming off of strong starts to their seasons and look to continue the momentum in Northfield.
UMD women’s volleyball takes the court at home for the first time on Saturday. The Bulldogs take on the Bemidji State University Beavers at 4 p.m. in the Romano gym. The Bulldogs hope to build on their fast start with another win in their second Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) game of the season.
The UMD men’s football team also hopes to add another win after defeating Winona State University 34-31 at home on Saturday, September 10. The Bulldogs travel to St. Paul for an NSIC matchup against Concordia University- St. Paul. Game time is at 6:00 p.m.
Sunday, Sept. 18:
UMD women’s soccer rounds out the weekend with another road game. This team the Bulldogs will travel to Mankato, Minnesota to take on the Mankato State University Mavericks. Kick-off is at 1:00 p.m.
