Bernie Sanders took the stage on Tuesday night in the Kirby Ballroom to campaign for Senator Rick Nolan and Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Sanders touched on many topics throughout his speech. He focused on raising minimum wage, reducing debt for college students, creating a healthy and habitable planet and passing new trade policies to create more jobs in America.

The main theme of Sanders’ speech was “She understands.” He endorsed Hillary Clinton by stating that she understands what the middle class needs and wants, in addition to understanding what college students need and want.

“We want you to get your life together and not spend decades paying off student loans,” Sanders said.

While talking about the issues, he also talked about how Hillary Clinton will do a better job in the Oval Office than Donald Trump.

“Which candidate will stand up for the middle class?” he asked.

In his concluding words, Sanders encouraged everyone in the audience to gather their friends and get them to the polls on election day.
