BY SUMMER HARRIS | the Statesman With spring break around the corner and second semester flying by, many of us are staring down our next milestone before finally entering life after college: graduation.
This Thursday, UMD will be hosting its annual Grad Fair from 10 a.m to 5 p.m in the Kirby Ballro
om, where students can purchase caps, gowns and hoods at discounted rates. Information about financial aid exit interviews, resume evaluations and job search assistance are just a few other things they will have access to.
“It’s good for people who don’t really know what’s going on – a good check-up point for graduation,” senior Chelsea Egwim said, who plans on attending the event.
The Grad fair isn’t just for undergraduates.
“I’m mostly going because I don’t know what I need and it’s easier to just ask someone instead of searching online,” graduate student Brooke Vetter said.
Regardless of your stage in the graduation process the Grad Fair is a good place to start (or finish) your graduation shopping and get yourself on track before the semester is over.
