60 The men’s basketball team matched a season low of 60 points in an 81-60 loss at Winona State Saturday night. Pierre Newton had 23 points and Brendon Pineda had 20. No other Bulldog had more than six points in the loss.


17 The track and field teams won 17 events at the Lake Superior Challenge at the College of St. Scholastica on Saturday. One of those wins, the women’s distance medley relay won with a time of 11:43.22. The relay, composed of Emilee Trost, Breanna Colbenson, Michaela Hesse and Hannah Olson, broke a school record and currently has the best relay time in the country.


3 Three different women’s basketball players scored at least 10 points each in an 84-60 win over Upper Iowa Friday night. Kenzie Kane led the way with 17 points, while Anna Monke had 12 and Sammy Kozlowski had 10.


2 Two different women’s hockey players had their first career hat-tricks this weekend. On Friday Michela Cava scored all three of UMD’s goals in a 3-2 win over Minnesota State. Her linemate Ashleigh Brykaliuk scored three goals in Saturday’s 5-2 win.


2 After going 0 for 38 on the power play over a 10 game span, the men’s hockey team scored two power play goals in a weekend sweep of Colorado College.


1 The UMD women’s hockey team is on a winning streak for the first time this season, after a weekend sweep of Minnesota State and last week’s win over Ohio State, which snapped a seven game skid.
