42 Senior guard Pierre Newton scored 42 points in the men’s basketball team’s 103-88 win over Southwest Minnesota State Saturday night. Newton came within five points of breaking the program record for points in a game (47), set in 1994 by Jerry Meyers.


17 A 87-75 loss to Southwest Minnesota State Saturday night was the third consecutive loss for the women’s basketball team. Over that span they have been outscored by an average of 17 points per game.


3 Freshman Morgan Morse scored three goals in two games, including Saturday’s game winner, against Ohio State. Before this weekend the Lakeville, MN, native had scored just one goal this season.


2 Sophomore Track & Field standout Emilee Trost broke a program record and earned the No. 2 mile-time in the country after she finished with a time of 4:49.54 in the Jack Johnson Classic this weekend at the University of Minnesota.


0 Three first period goals lifted the men’s hockey team to a 3-1 win over Northern Michigan Saturday night, but the Bulldogs were 0 for 7 on the power play, extending their power play scoring drought to 10 games. Over that span they are 0 for 36 with the man advantage.
