Residing right across the street from the home of the UMD Bulldogs is the eatery Bulldog Pizza.

Walking into Bulldog Pizza for the first time, I was surprised to see how small it was. For some reason it had always seemed to look bigger from the outside. The host inside the entrance was very helpful and friendly.

The atmosphere of the restaurant was family friendly. They were playing a mixture of pop and country songs over the speakers. During our dinner we heard a handful of Selena Gomez songs (not that that’s a bad thing).

It was a fun and friendly environment, and since the area was smaller it also gave an intimate experience.

Looking over the menu was the toughest part of the night. They have such a wide variety of options that it was hard to make a decision on what to order.

However, I was quite pleased with the cheese curds, even if they were a little on the pricey side. The appetizer came out right away and fresh.

Since I was at Bulldog Pizza, I had to get the pizza. It’s safe to say that I was impressed. Though it was not my all time favorite pizza, it was really good. I do prefer my pizza cut into triangles as opposed to squares, but I can make an exception here.

Overall I was impressed with Bulldog Pizza, mostly from their food and their large menu options. It may help to go at a less busy time to ensure you get a spot since it’s a fairly small establishment. Also, if you’re a fan of cheese curds, they are well worth the extra couple bucks.
