What is “Weekly ink”?: “Weekly ink” is a new series on Lake Voice highlighting tattoos that community members from the Twin Ports area have and their stories behind them. “Weekly ink” also includes the client’s ratings of the tattoo shop that did their work in the following categories: Cleanliness, quality of art, friendliness, pricing and shop atmosphere. All ratings are made on a 1-5 scale with a 5 being exceptional and a 1 being below expectations.

The Story:
Mike Freeman's first answer to why he has the tattoos that he does is plain and simple. "I just like tattoos," said Freeman.
Freeman is covered in tattoos almost from the neck down. He shared the story of the portrait on his side of Frankenstein and the bride of Frankenstein.
Frankenstein was the first horror movie Freeman had ever seen, which resulted in Frankenstein being his favorite fictional character. "He wasn't a monster, he was a caring person, just misunderstood," Freeman said. "Just like me," he added while chuckling.
Freeman also added that for five years straight as a child he dressed up as Frankenstein for Halloween.
Although Freeman has quite the collection of tattoos already, he plans to continue getting more work done in the few empty spaces he has left.
One of his future tattoo ideas include his desire to get a portrait of his mom and dad on the opposite side of his Frankenstein piece.
