Meet the staff: Jake Przytarski

IMG_0037.CR2 Who am I?

My name is Jake Przytarski and I'm from the awesome city of Apple Valley, Minnesota.  I'm currently in my fourth year here at UMD, and have spent the last two years focusing on journalism.  My goal for this course is to put my passion for sports into words, something I have yet to really do in journalism.

Lake Voice Position

Here at Lake Voice, I will be in charge of all things promotions. I had spent the first two years of college aspiring to get a marketing degree, so this position is completely in my comfort zone and something I'm looking forward to.

What interests me?

To say that sports are my passion would be putting it lightly because I eat, breathe, and sleep sports.  I'm a ride or die Viking's fan that has been dreaming of a Super Bowl since the days of Randy Moss and Cris Carter.  I'm also a huge high school, college, and professional hockey fan that is constantly checking the latest stats and highlights from the previous night's games.  If I'm not at the game watching it, I'm watching it on the couch with a cold brew in hand.

Why Duluth?

Looking out across Duluth from the top of the hill for the first time made the decision to go to Duluth a rather easy one.  Not only did I love the city and campus, but the passion for Bulldog hockey was infectious and something that I wanted to be a part of.  I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here at UMD, and could not have asked for a better college experience than the one I've had thus far.
