Voices of summer: Getting the most out of the warm weather

As the weather continues to change in Duluth so does the activities. During the winter season, the focus is skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing and snuggling up by a warm fire. In contrast as the summer months continue, the beach becomes a popular place for residents and visitors. Here are a few people that have been enjoying the nice weather at the beach. photo1 copy

Morgan Reckinger, a student at University of Minnesota Duluth said, "I love it but the only downfall is that I work 40 hours a week in an office so it's like torture when it's nice out."

A Duluth resident and student Emily Purcell says, "After the winter we just had, I am not going to complain about how hot it has been. I love it and it's great to be outside."

A visitor to Duluth, Claire Levar, of Ely said, I enjoy hot weather much more than -40 degree weather."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Soon the weather will be cold again and the fun in the sun will dwindle but until then these three young women said they will continue to enjoy the sunshine.
