This Thanksgiving week couldn’t get any busier. However, if you have some downtime, here are some free events happening throughout the week. Feel like busting a move? Head over to the Myers-Wilkins School Gym this Monday, Nov. 25, for International Folk Dancing from 6:45 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. Afterwards, enjoy free darts and pool at Dubh Linn’s from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
On Tuesday, Nov. 26, catch a showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show movie at 4:00 p.m. in room 195 at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. After the movie, don’t forget to watch CBS’ once a year showing of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at 7:00 p.m.
Wanting to spend some more family time before the Thanksgiving holiday? Lace up your skates for free open skating at the Duluth Heritage Sports Center from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday Nov. 27. If you’re not into ice-skating, spend your night at Bentleyville during their opening week from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
On Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Nov. 30, spend some quality time with the family and take them to meet Santa and his live reindeer at Fitger’s for pictures and a day of fun at 12:00 p.m.
Finish off your long weekend at the open skate with the UMD Bulldogs hockey team at the Amsoil Arena from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday Dec. 1. Get their autographs and skate alongside your favorite players.
