UMD’s Writing Studies program, along with UMD’s Office of Civic Engagement, will be hosting candidates for the two open at-large seats on the Duluth City Council. The event is at 6 p.m. on Oct. 22, and will be held at the Griggs Center, located in the Kirby Student Center on the UMD Campus. Pat Castellano, from the League of Women Voters Duluth, will be moderating the event. Questions asked to the candidates will be generated by UMD students in the “Reporting and Writing I” journalism class.
The candidates include: Zack Filipovich, Barb Russ, Ray Sandman, and Ryan Stauber.
The Kirby Student center is located at 1120 Kirby Drive, Duluth, Minn. The event is listed from 6-8 p.m.
