UMD's voter turnout in the last decade has seen its fair share of ups and downs, but why aren't students consistently voting each election? LakeVoice News did some background research and found the average voter turnout for UMD's Precinct (P-10) has been 53.59 percent since 2000.

According to the Minnesota Secretary of State office and the Duluth County Clerk's Office, voter turnout has hit an all-time low since 2000. Follow along on this interactive timeline to see the turnout for each election year or view the graph below.
